Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Alcovia platform, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Alcovia, Inc. This AUP is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. Violation of this policy may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent termination of your account, and may be reported to law enforcement where appropriate.

The Service is intended exclusively for professional remodeling visualization, design presentation, project estimation, and client communication purposes. Permitted uses include:

• Scanning interior spaces with property owner consent for the purpose of creating remodeling visualizations
• Generating 3D models, AI-powered design modifications, and photorealistic renders for client presentations
• Creating material takeoffs and cost estimates for project planning and bidding purposes
• Exporting and sharing presentations, renders, and reports with clients, team members, and project stakeholders
• Using AI Outputs in marketing materials, portfolios, and social media to showcase your design capabilities
• Integrating AI Outputs into proposals, contracts, and project documentation (with appropriate disclaimers regarding AI-generated content)

You may not use the Service to:

• Create misleading or fraudulent representations of properties for the purpose of deceiving buyers, sellers, lenders, insurers, appraisers, or any other third party
• Generate content that violates any applicable local, state, federal, or international laws or regulations
• Misrepresent the scope, cost, timeline, materials, or feasibility of proposed remodeling work based on AI-generated outputs
• Scan or capture spaces without the express written or verbal consent of the property owner or authorized occupant
• Present AI-generated renders, measurements, or material takeoffs as certified architectural plans, engineering specifications, or licensed professional assessments without appropriate disclaimers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, or AI models underlying the Service
• Share, sell, transfer, or sublicense your account credentials or access to unauthorized third parties
• Use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or other programmatic means to access the Service beyond normal usage patterns
• Upload, transmit, or submit content that is offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, obscene, threatening, harassing, or otherwise objectionable
• Attempt to circumvent security measures, access controls, rate limits, or usage restrictions
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its underlying infrastructure
• Use the Service to compete with or create a competing product or service
• Collect or harvest personal information of other users without their consent
• Use the Service for any purpose unrelated to remodeling, construction, interior design, or related professional activities

All content submitted to the Service, including design prompts, reference images, text inputs, and uploaded inspiration materials, must be appropriate for professional use and must not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party. You represent and warrant that you have the right to use any reference images, Pinterest boards, or inspiration materials you upload to the Service.

You may not submit content that contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code, or that is designed to exploit vulnerabilities in the Service or its users' devices.

Before scanning any property using the Service, you must obtain consent from the property owner or authorized occupant. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have proper authorization to scan and create visualizations of any space. The Company is not responsible for any claims arising from unauthorized scanning activities.

The Service is designed for normal professional use. We reserve the right to implement rate limits, usage caps, or other restrictions to ensure fair access for all users and to protect the integrity of our infrastructure. Excessive or abusive usage patterns may result in temporary throttling or account review.

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it immediately to [email protected]. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. You may report violations anonymously if you prefer.

Alcovia, Inc. reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP and to take appropriate action, which may include:

• Issuing warnings or notices of non-compliance
• Temporarily suspending your access to the Service
• Permanently terminating your account without refund
• Removing or disabling access to content that violates this AUP
• Reporting violations to law enforcement authorities
• Pursuing legal remedies, including injunctive relief and damages

We will endeavor to provide notice before taking enforcement action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Service, its users, or third parties.
